If you would like a Plot contact Ted Wynne, Newton County Extension Coordinator at 770-784-2010 or email him at twynne@uga.edu.  There will be a small annual fee of $25.00 to lease a raised bed for one year or talk to Ted about applying for a scholarship plot. Remember there is very limited space and they will go fast. Thanks and happy gardening. 

 

Work Days

April the 10th: 9:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Installation of the water system.
April 17th: 9:a.m. -1:00 p.m. Crush and Run
April 30th 5:30 p.m. fund raiser event reception at Party on Main has been canceled at this time, and will be announced at a later time.
May 1st 9:00 a.m. Orientation Class for vegetable gardening and start planting veggies and flowers.
The next meeting of the Newton County Community Gardens @ Porterdale Garden Club will be Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 12:30PM at #2226 in the Cotton Warehouse building of Porterdale Mill Lofts.  Any Newton County resident interested in gardening is welcome to attend.  Bring your own lunch and drink to eat during the meeting.  Additional questions?  Call Anita Rainey @ 770-365-6508.
