Mayor Patterson is a visionary leader. He has been a leader since his youth & has experienced great success.
He is a native of Newton County & has lived in Porterdale for over 13 years, but his multi-generational roots run deep in this mill village, over 5 generations. Now, he is raising his family here as they come to know & love our town just like he does.
Mayor Patterson was born in 1985 & possesses a wealth of leadership experience & knowledge, along with a youthful energy & passion to make a positive difference.
He is husband to Wendy, father to Corban & Logan, and Bonus Dad to Blake & Addison.
Over the years, Mayor Patterson has served his church, Faith Tabernacle in Conyers, through many different areas of ministry, & now as Senior Pastor for the past 12 years. He also currently serves as Principal of the church school, Faith Christian Academy.
Mayor Patterson is a certified licensed counselor with the NCCA & is currently pursuing his Degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling.
He has served the City of Porterdale as a Councilman, Chairman of the Planning & Zoning Commission, along with organizing candidate forums, voter registration drives, town hall meetings, & has faithfully supported community events.
His desire is to serve & be involved with his church & his local community in any way possible. He gives thanks to all the people that have influenced his life and most of all to his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
The Mayor’s life goal is to be a “Servant of God & Servant to People” & his vision for Porterdale is to Protect, Provide, & Promote.
His favorite scripture is Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
